Harvest Festival

Chapel Event

Harvest Festival

Harvest is always such a joyous time at Cheam as we reflect on the glory of God’s Creation.  We celebrated with two very different, but poignant services.  Years 1 – 4 came together to share some beautiful music.  We had songs about Autumn, the importance of eating those ‘5 a day!’ and up beat numbers featuring conkers and the Harvest Samba! We were very proud of our young singers, who performed with great conviction and perfect intonation.  The Headmaster was on top form too, leading us with stories centred around a procession of Harvest gifts.  The Chapel looked amazing with so many seasonal decorations – thank you parents, Mrs Harris and Mrs Gabbitas.  In our main Saturday Service, the Seniors reflected on the array of food on offer in our local stores and where it originally came from. Certainly food for thought!  The Choir sang a new anthem Thou Visitest the Earth by Maurice Greene and they really conveyed the spirit of the words.  Well done all!
