Year 3 trip to The Hawk Conservancy
On Thursday 22nd June, the Year 3 made their way to Weyhill in Andover for their annual trip to The Hawk Conservancy.
In previous years, this has been the most enjoyed trip of the year, and I suspect that this year's cohort will be no different. We all enjoyed seeing the vultures have their breakfast and learned an awful lot about these much misunderstood birds, which are now seriously threatened with extinction. We enjoyed watching these birds in flight, in the 'Wings over Africa' display and then had a delicious picnic lunch - despite a cunning crow making of with a full bag of crisps! In the afternoon, we made our way to Reg's meadow to watch more birds flying just above our heads in another exciting display. After a little retail therapy we headed back to school, the teachers feeling very pleased to be told what polite children we have in Year 3!
